"It's been wonderful partnering with Thaddeus Denthriff II to make it possible for everyone in the region to be able to enjoy world-famous Little Nick's BBQ through our new Food Truck," said Little Nick's World Champion BBQ Food Truck Co-Owner & The Bubble Hive Owner Todd Cedarleaf. "Thaddeus is a fourth-generation Pitmaster, and he recently won three barbeque cooking competitions - First Place World Championship in Beef, Second Place in Vinegar BBQ Sauce, and Second Place in Whole Hog - at the Memphis in May World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest. The new Food Truck will be regularly parked at The Bubble Hive in Loves Park, and we will also publish a calendar of events so everyone can find us at events and locations throughout the Stateline region."
"My love for barbeque started when I was a kid," said Little Nick's World Champion BBQ Food Truck Co-Owner and Pitmaster Thaddeus Denthriff II. "I used to watch my father dominate the pit at any competition we could attend, and it's been my honor to carry on that legacy. At Little Nick's BBQ, we do small batches of artisanal barbecue, so everything we serve is freshly cooked within the last 24 hours. With our new Food Truck in addition to our Auburn Street restaurant location, more people right here in the 815 can now enjoy our world-championship barbecue on a regular basis."
"It's important to point out the tremendous amount of support that we've received from the City of Loves Park and the State of Illinois for this and all of our projects," continued Cedarleaf. "We've invested millions of dollars into these businesses which are all connected and ready to grow right here in northern Illinois."
ABOUT LITTLE NICK'S WORLD CHAMPION BBQ FOOD TRUCK
Little Nick's World Champion BBQ Food Truck is the newest expansion of Little Nick's BBQ, which is a fourth generation owned catering and competition barbeque company - since 1953 - that celebrates the simplicity and authenticity of good old fashioned Mississippi barbeque. Food Truck Co-Owner and Pitmaster Thaddeus Denthriff II took over the family barbeque business and opened a new restaurant in downtown Rockford in 2021, and he went on to win the designation as "First Place World Champion in Beef" at the 2022 Memphis in May World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest.
Little Nick's World Champion BBQ Food Truck will feature beef, pork, chicken, ribs, and polish in addition to made-from-scratch sides and desserts. Customers at the Food Truck will also have the option to select a barbeque sauce infused with Full Spectrum Delta 8 Hemp, which is grown locally and organically by Cedarleaf Farms, which is owned by Todd Cedarleaf from The Bubble Hive.
The Food Truck will be located most regularly at The Bubble Hive at 7100 N. Alpine Road in Loves Park, Illinois, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, starting with a few days a week. They will also publish a calendar of events with times and locations. To request the Food Truck for on-premise events, please call The Bubble Hive at 815.904.9920.
