ABOUT SENATOR STADELMAN
Senator Steve Stadelman is an award-winning TV news anchor and father of four who ran for a seat in the Illinois Senate in 2012 because his experiences as a journalist and parent convinced him of the need for fresh, common-sense representation in Springfield. His public policy achievements have twice since earned him recognition as Legislator of the Year, and he has brought home tens of millions in state funding for projects that expand the local economy and improve quality of life. Senator Stadelman secured $275 Million toward development of passenger rail between Chicago and Rockford and co-sponsored legislation to allow a Rockford casino, legislation that ensures Loves Park and Machesney Park share in the tax revenues. He has consistently delivered state funding for the Chicago-O’Hare International Airport and Rockford Park District facilities including Sand Park Pool and Sportscore in Loves Park.
