MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR
It's my honor to serve as Executive Director for The Parks Chamber of Commerce, and I thank you for your support over the past few years as we worked to strengthen the foundation of our organization while preparing us to grow. Not only do I love this work, but I also really like everyone involved with our organization. From our board and mayors, to our members and community leaders, the power of our collective and positive energy is surely having a meaningful impact on our region’s economy and quality of life.
Today, we’re delighted to welcome two new members to The Parks Chamber Board of Directors - Dietmar Goellner and Tim Schipper - and to also announce that we're accepting nominations for the 2022 slate of candidates for the Board.
In addition, we invite you to register today for "State of the State" by Senator Steve Stadelman on August 17 and encourage you to sponsor and/or donate raffle prizes for our SOLD OUT golf outing, which will be held on August 22 at Forest Hills Country Club. We're thrilled to announce that Chicago Blackhawks Assistant Coach Derek King will participate and sign autographs at the golf outing, and one lucky sponsor will get to host Derek in their golf foursome!

Hennig is a family owned and operated, worldwide manufacturer of machine tool protection. In addition to their U.S. facilities, they also operate four facilities in Europe. The products they manufacture provide machine protection and facility safety around the globe to machine tool customers. Hennig Enclosure Systems is the industry leader in the stand-by power industry, supplying back up power generator systems for customers like big tech companies and hospitals. Along with the enclosures, they also manufacture a range of UL rated fuel tanks. Hennig opened in Machesney Park in 1997, they employ 400 people today, and they continue to invest millions of dollars in our community in plant expansions and equipment to support their significant growth.

| Tim Schipper Hard Rock Casino Rockford
Tim, works as Director of Marketing and Player Development for Hard Rock Casino Rockford. Hard Rock Casino’s “Opening Act” is open now with over 600 slots and electronic table games. The 37,000 square foot casino is also home to two restaurants and a pop-up retail shop, featuring Hard Rock’s signature Rock Shop merchandise. Special events at the casino include Jazz Brunch every Sunday and WINESday every Wednesday. We’re pleased that the Hard Rock team is in the final stages with the IGB to begin construction on the new permanent casino near I-90 on East State Street, and we look forward to their exciting announcements coming soon.

Any individual who owns, operates, or is employed by an organization that has been a dues-paying member in good standing with The Parks Chamber for at least one year is eligible for service on the Board. We're seeking active leaders who bring a variety of knowledge, experiences, and resources in support of the chamber's mission of helping businesses succeed with the right tools, connections, and resources. 2022 Nominations are due in writing by August 31, and the nomination form is ONLINE HERE.

EVERYONE is invited to donate a Raffle Prize valued at $50 or more for The Big Raffle. Donors are recognized in the Program Book with their prize, on a sign next to the prize, and from the podium when the prize is awarded to the winner. Attendees with Raffle Tickets will place tickets in jars next to the prize of their choice throughout the day, and winning Raffle Tickets are drawn and announced at the Lunch immediately following the outing.
