PRESS RELEASE Cream City Stateline Scale Co Celebrates 100 Years Today, Cream City Stateline Scale Co celebrated its 100-Year Anniversary during a press conference at their headquarters in Loves Park, Illinois.
Cream City Stateline Scale Co was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1921. Jay and Lorri Garnhart purchased the company in 1998 and moved the headquarters to Loves Park, Illinois. After Jay and Lorriās retirements, their son, Ryan Garnhart, transitioned to the role of President. The company is well-positioned for continued growth in the weighing industry as they kick off their next 100 years as a family-owned business.
"On behalf of the City of Loves Park, I congratulate Cream City Stateline Scale Co for their many successes over the past 100 years," said City of Loves Park Mayor Greg Jury. "To continue to grow as a family-owned business surely requires great leadership and a strong team, and this company is a shining example of what works. I want to thank Jay and Lorri Garnhart for making Loves Park home for the business over 20 years ago and for also being instrumental in us being able to attract Costco to The Parks. I congratulate and thank Ryan Garnhart for his ongoing commitment to provide exceptional service for customers while being a top employer in our region. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we thank the Garnharts and their team at Cream City Stateline Scale for everything they do for our community."
"I have known the Garnhart family for many years and thank them for all they have done for our community," said Village of Machesney Park Mayor Steve Johnson. "It was our honor to help cut the ribbon at this beautiful, new facility in 2019, and I look forward to seeing Cream City Stateline Scale Co continue to grow and prosper for another 100 years right here in The Parks."
At the event, President and Owner Ryan Garnhat spoke about the company's history while expressing gratitude for being the second generation running the company.
"I'm honored to kick off the second century of Cream City Stateline Scale's operations today alongside Illinois State Representative Dave Vella, City of Loves Park Mayor Greg Jury, Village of Machesney Park Mayor Steve Johnson, and community leaders from The Parks Chamber of Commerce," said Cream City Stateline Scale Co President and Owner Ryan Garnhart.
