to Announce a Music Festival July 1 - 4

The media is invited to attend a press conference on Friday, May 14 at 11:00 AM at Rivets Stadium (4503 Interstate Blvd in Loves Park, Illinois) for an official announcement of a four-day music festival that will be held at Rivets Stadium from Thursday, July 1 through Sunday, July 4 to include two stages and over twenty bands, fireworks, a carnival, and local food vendors and artisans.

 

At the press conference, media will receive an official Press Release with specific details for the event.

 

Speakers at the press conference will include:

• Cheap Trick Lead Guitarist, Songwriter & Hometown Hero Rick Nielsen
• City of Loves Park Mayor Greg Jury
• The Parks Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tonya Lamia

 

Elected officials in attendance will include:

• Village of Machesney Park Mayor Steve Johnson
• State Senator Steve Stadelman (or Chief of Staff Mark Bonne)
• State Senator Dave Syverson (or Chief of Staff Cheryl Larson)

 

Additional participants at the press conference will include Miss Illinois Megan Clarida, Miss Teen Illinois Madison Hawn, the Young at Heart Queen and/or Princesses, elected officials and senior staff from the City of Loves Park and Village of Machesney Park, and board members from The Parks Chamber.
